Construction on Fullcomp's Semiconductor Plant in Beijing Delayed
June 16, 2006
According to a recent report by the Financial Times, construction of Fullcomp's 8-inch wafer plant in Beijing has been delayed. Asia Express reported on March 10 that Fullcomp, a holding company registered in Samoa, was supposed to kick off construction on this facility in March or April this year. The Financial Times report claimed that the delay may be due to insufficient funding. Fullcomp denied this and stated that the need for completion of the Beijing government's environmental impact assessment is the reason that plant construction has fallen behind schedule.
